Dear East Granby Staff and Families,
New information to share:
Lunch Update
Lunch orders typically need to be placed the Wednesday prior to the following Monday’s delivery. Orders are placed for the entire week (if there is a day that the selection is not favorable, simply click on the radial button “No Selection”). Milk is part of every meal; we currently are offering white milk. If a family ONLY wants to purchase milk, it must also be pre-ordered and there is a cost of $.50.
PLEASE check with your child before ordering to be sure your child will eat what you have chosen. If we do not have another student to give the pre-ordered meal to, then the meal is thrown away; something we need to avoid. Thank you in advance.
Because we are close to the start date for school, lunch orders for the first week of school need to be received before 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 21st.
- Go to the EGPS website (or any EGPS school webpage)
https://www.eastgranby.k12.ct.us/
- On the purple toolbar at the top, click on “For Parents”
https://www.eastgranby.k12.ct.us/for_parents/
- Click on “Place a Meal Order”
https://www.eastgranby.k12.ct.us/for_parents/place-a-meal-order/
- Click on the blue hyperlink to view the menu.
- On the right side, click under East Granby where it says East Granby Lunch Menu
https://granby.linqnutrition.com/Menus.aspx
You can print the menu for the month and then go back to “Place a Meal Order” under the Parents tab to fill out the order information.
The seventh question down asks for Teacher Last Name for students in grades K-5. Please put in your teacher’s last name. For grades 6-12, you do not yet know your child’s lunch wave, or where they will be assigned to eat. For now, please put “unknown”. You need to fill out a form for each child.
If you want to order lunch for the first week of school, please have the order in by 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 21st.
There is also an app for your phone for future lunch orders, or you can access the order form through this link: https://tinyurl.com/y5rbwg3q
COVID-19 Daily Screening for Parents
The tool for daily screening has been updated by the Farmington Valley Health Department and can be found on our COVID-19 webpage. The document is also attached to this correspondence.
