For Grades 8 - 12 : Interested in looking at the stars? Learning about astronomy? Imagine working in the aerospace industry? Love hiking in the desert and learning about early Native American people? Then consider coming along traveling for the April Vacation on an astronomy, space, and desert trip to southeastern Arizona. It will be led by Dr. Faulkner, Miss Scull, and Mrs. McCluskey. We’ll experience the challenges of space travel by staying overnight in Biosphere II; learn about engineering for space when visiting the mirror lab at the University of Arizona; study the clear night skies of Arizona with an overnight stay in an observatory and night hikes with astronomers; learn about the desert habitat and ancient Native Americans with hikes and workshops with biologists and archeologists; and hike to the cliff dwellings in a National Monument. We’ll also have a community service project and visit some of the artisan sites in Tucson. Only three spots remain for the trip -- don’t let this pass you by! Questions? Email Dr. Faulkner at firstname.lastname@example.org or Miss Scull at email@example.com.
