For Grades 7 - 11:Hawaii Trip Announcement. East Granby Public Schools is delighted to announce the offering of a trip to Hawaii over April break, 2021. It is open to students who will be in grades 8-12 that year (so grades 7-11 can apply). We’ll start our trip on the island of Oahu where we’ll hike in a primary rainforest, visit Pearl Harbor, snorkel with native fish, do a community service project involving a local school, and learn about the islands that make up our 50th state. Then we’ll fly to the Big Island to experience the geology of the islands at Volcanoes National Park, snorkel with sea turtles, and learn more about Hawaiian culture. The trip is science-oriented, includes visits to cultural and historical sites, has a community service project, and is an outdoors, active trip. Best of all, it will be really, really fun! It will be led by Dr. Faulkner, Miss Scull, Mrs. McCluskey, and Mr. Mentgen, and possibly other staff members.
Please join us for an informational meeting for parents and students at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 14th in the EGHS Auditorium.
