Our morning drop-off came with a prehistoric surprise! In the spirit of April Fools’ Day, Mrs. Luckenbach traded in her usual attire for dinosaur-sized fun—greeting students with plenty of laughs, smiles, and a roar or two. It was a dino-mite way to start the day and set the tone for a day full of joy across the school!

Families of Grade 4 and Grade 5 students joined us at Seymour for an exciting STEM Night filled with creativity and problem-solving! Students and parents worked together to design their own East Granby–inspired version of Donkey Kong. Using simple materials and lots of teamwork, each family engineered a ramp system to test whose ball would travel the slowest. The room was full of laughter, experimentation, and a little friendly competition as families tested and redesigned their creations. It was a great night of hands-on learning and family fun!

No Bullies Allowed!
Mrs. Karlowicz’s class led our all-school meeting this week with a powerful presentation titled “No Bullies Allowed.” Students explained the updated definition of bullying — unwanted aggression that involves a power imbalance and can happen in grades K–12. They reminded everyone that “No Bullies Allowed” is Rule #3 of the Energy Bus and encouraged us all to treat others with kindness and respect every day.

Fourth grade painted rocks to add to Seymour's rock garden. It's always a fun moment when Seymour alumni try to find their fourth grade rock!

Seymour's flag team started this morning. Will, Violet and Derek will raise the flag every morning with some help from Mr. Marc. Fourth graders have traditionally taken on this school responsibility.
